Understanding Handmade Leather:
Because PelleVista shoes are handcrafted from premium, calf leather, certain characteristics are not considered "defects." These include:
Natural Grain Variations: Subtle differences in texture, small pores, or faint growth marks are evidence of authentic, high-grade leather.
Tonal Differences: Slight variations in color or "pull-up" effects may occur during the hand-dyeing or tanning process.
Artisanal Marks: Minor variations in stitching or finish are the hallmarks of a human-made product, as opposed to machine-pressed synthetic shoes.
What is a Defect?
A valid claim for a "defective" item includes structural issues that impact the wearability or longevity of the shoe, such as:
Sole separation or failure of the welt.
Missing hardware or broken eyelets.
Significant tearing of the upper leather (not including natural creases).
Confirmed production errors (e.g., incorrect size or model sent).
PELLEVISTA LLC reserves the right to request photographic evidence of the reported issue to determine the best course of action (repair, replacement, or refund).
